| Central Gauteng Duathletes excelled at the S A Champs, doing our Province proud, taking a number of medals on offer. Brandt du Plessis came in as the overall winner in the Men’s Standard Distance Race and Bryce Viegas as the overall winner of the Men’s Long Distance Race. Congratulations to those Central Gauteng Athletes who have been selected for the various 2008 SA Duathlon Teams. The Long Distance Team Members as well as the Elite Standard Distance Team would have been contacted by TSA directly. All Age Group Team Members are reminded to please confirm their availability for the Team by Monday and are to take note of the attached documents if applicable. Central Gauteng Duathlon Championships |

| The CGT Duathlon championships were held on Sunday 25 May 2008 at the Boksburg Athletic Stadium. The junior events were well attended and a number of new athletes have registered with CGT. Well done to all those athletes, parents and supporters who braved the freezing and wet conditions on the day. The team to represent CGT at the SA Duathlon Championships scheduled for 28 June 2008 in Bloemfontein will be announced shortly and all athletes will be advised accordingly. Those athletes who unfortunately did not complete the race due to either mechanical problems or injuries on the day will still be considered for selection. Medals will be handed out to all those Senior and Junior CGT Registered Athletes who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the various age categories of the CGT Duathlon Champs held on the 25th May 2008. This will be done on our Kit, Medal and Team selection certificate presentation Evening – on Wednesday the 25th June 2008 2008, at Jeppe Quondam, Boeing Road, Bedfordview, Starting at 18:30 till 20:30. Kit Handout 18:30 – 19:30 with Medal and Certificate handout to follow. The Junior Trophies will be handed out at our Year End Prize giving. |
